Project 52
Project 52–Week 24
Something about the summer makes me want to slow down, to reflect and to throw off structure and routine for awhile. I think for the summer, I’m going to take off giving themes and just focus on sharing some slices of real life. Sound good?
Audrey is getting ready for her yearly ballet recital. This year they are dancing to the “Little Waltz.” It’s been a lot of hard work and they still aren’t quite ready, but they all look so beautiful in their costumes! This photo is from their dress rehearsal last weekend. She’s the one in the middle.
Project 52–Week 23
This week’s post is a bit early since I am having my wisdom teeth removed in the morning and I’m not sure I’ll remember to post later in the week.
Our theme for the week is “Family.”
Here’s my photo. The kids got some new clay last week and they’ve enjoyed making little families with them. My favorite is the little baby in the cradle with it’s bottle in it’s mouth. And the mom with the piggy nose. LOL

Project 52–Week 22
This week’s theme is “Technology.”

We do a babysitting exchange with our good friends every Friday night. Last Friday, I caught 5 of the 6 kids perched on our countertop, eyes glued to the laptop screen and belting out “Time to Say Goodbye” along with Andrea Bocelli and Hayley Westenra. Because opera is the “in” thing with the under 7 crowd. Apparently.
Project 52–Week 21
I don’t have theme for this week, so you’re on your own.
I just really love this close-up of my husband playing guitar:

Project 52–Week 20
Inspired by my two crazy preschool boys, this week’s theme is “Live in Color.” Or more appropriately at our house, “Be in Color.” I caught them painting each other under the table in the kitchen, and here are the remains before cleaning up.
Project 52–Week Nineteen
This week’s theme is “Creative Self-Portrait.”
And here’s mine:

I’m sporting a lovely apron, purchased from the equally lovely Anna over at Pleasant View Schoolhouse.
Project 52–Week Eighteen
This week’s theme is “All Wet.” Spring is here in full force, bringing lots of rain with it. Here’s my photo:

Growing tree reflected in murky-muddy water.
This photo is part of a series on “The Ugly-Beautiful”, which you can read over at the Scrapartist blog.
Project 52–Week 17
This week’s theme is “Yellow.” Yellow just makes me happy, especially in the Spring.

Project 52–Week 16
As a parent of three small children, I’m always looking for opportunities to capture them smiling, laughing and having a good time. But then I find that out of all of the pictures I take, I’m most drawn to the ones in which they aren’t smiling. So this week’s theme is “Be Serious!”
Here’s mine. I snapped this right after breakfast the other day (note the bedhead!) and I just love how you are immediately drawn to his eyes. Doesn’t he look so wise?
Project 52–Week 15
This week’s theme is “At the table.” What goes on around the table at your house? Today we did a Think! Experiment with rice krispie cereal and marshmallows, trying to make animal sculptures. I didn’t use enough marshmallows, so it didn’t hold together all that great. We ended up using cookie cutters instead, and also smooshed it together to make a couple of butterflies. But that’s why it’s called an experiment, right?
