Project 52
Project 52–Week 37
This week we went apple picking and brought home more apples than we’ll ever be able to eat. I just love Fall!

Project 52–Week 36
G is turning 4 this week. I think I officially can’t call him “baby” anymore. *Sigh*

Although I think 4 is pretty great, too.
Project 52 Catch Up
I’ve been taking photos for Project 52 all summer, but I haven’t been in the mood to post (obviously). So here we go…
Week 29
We dogsat two sweet little Shih Tzus for 8 days. The kids loved them and I got lots of exercise walking them every day. LOL
Week 30

I ended up with crazy amounts of zucchini from our CSA and my friend Carly. So I made a huge batch of yummy chocolate zucchini cupcakes, iced with chocolate ganache of course. They ended up making their way to the dessert table at an African wedding at our church.
Week 31

We finished up the summer reading program at our library with a fun evening of face painting, t-shirt decorating and clay pot making. Good times. And I think this photo should be on our Christmas card. LOL
Week 32

My little girl turned seven this week. We celebrated with a girly party with 12 of her closest friends. We did manicures, put cucumbers on our eyes and stayed up way too late eating popcorn and giggling over High School Musical. And of course, no party is complete without chocolate cupcakes frosted with fluffy whipped cream and topped off with a Hannah Montana candy guitar.
Week 33

This week, I finished painting our basement (a month long project, no kidding) and painted our dining room table and chairs. Needless to say, the kids had to find their own entertainment. Leftover party balloons + black permanent marker + cool hat = new playmate that doesn’t talk back. LOL
Project 52–Week 27
Today was really fun. We read Little House on the Prairie, did some fun messy crafts at the library, had a picnic in the park, walked around the lake looking at wildflowers, ate ice cream and then James and I got to play tennis while the kids bounced on their friends’ new trampoline. Fun summer times.
Here’s a quick picture of one of Owen’s creations from the library. I had more, but I formated my memory card before I had downloaded all of the pictures. Oops.
Project 52–Week 26
We’re halfway through the year now! I can’t believe how time has flown.
This week has been super hot, so we got the kids a little pool for the deck and some floaties.

Project 52–Week 25
This week, we spent a couple of days at my sister’s house in the country since James is out of town. We got really muddy, played in the creek, collected fossils and wildflowers, rode bikes, played with her cute new puppy, hung out clothes on the clothesline (a luxury to me!), made milkshakes and stayed up way too late! This time I decided not to bring my camera, so I don’t have any great photos. I did snap a quick one of our suitcases after we got back, though!

Even though there were many, many times I thought to myself, “darn, that would have made such a cute picture,” I’m really glad that I left it behind. I wouldn’t have been able to do half the things I did if I had been worried about my precious camera. Although I’m definitely going to bring it next time–I may have to re-create some shots! LOL But sometimes, it’s nice to just LIVE.
